Junior: Experience

•  
• Get experience in your field by completing at least one internship
• Utilize Handshake to find internships and summer/part-time jobs related to a field of interest; make profile viewable by employers if desired
• Conduct Informational Interviews  
• Update your LinkedIn presence and develop connections
• Network with professionals in a field of interest
• Research potential graduate/professional schools
• Register for UNST 310, Career Professional Development Seminar
• Update your resume and create a cover letter to market your qualifications; have your documents reviewed by Career Services; post documents in Handshake for employer viewing if desired
• Attend career fairs and special events such as Speed Mock Interviewing, preparing ahead of time so you can engage employers in conversation about your qualifications and employment opportunities
• Practice your interviewing skills on your own by using Interview Stream  
• Research jobs and companies
