Guide to Resources for Faculty Research and Development

Welcome

The library is here to provide faculty with the best research support for classes and research. In this guide you will find information on a variety of services and resources for instruction.

Library Services Available for Faculty

Many library services are available for all faculty and adjunct faculty. If you don't see what you need, please ask us:

  • Most departments have a library partner who work with faculty to develop the library collection. Don't hesitate to reach out to your faculty or library partner if you have ideas for purchases.
  • If you'd like to request materials from other libraries, we have an excellent interlibrary loan program.
  • You may also put course items on reserve for your students.
  • Schedule a face-to-face or virtual instruction session for your class.
  • Get help with your own research by using the chat on the library's homepage or scheduling a research consultation with a librarian.
  • Do you have a copyright question? Please visit our copyright guide or ask Kim Olson-Kopp for help, kmolsonkopp@viterbo.edu, 608-796-3263.

The library space has many study and study rooms, as well as an Einstein Bagels coffee shop that, when closed, serves as a 24/7 computer lab.

Streaming Media and Optical Test Scanning

Streaming Media

Faculty may show Viterbo Library-owned videos by placing links or embed codes in their Moodle classes. Students can access the video after logging in to Moodle. Please complete a Streaming Media Request form for each class. For questions regarding test scanning and video digitization, email streamingmedia@viterbo.edu.

Optical Test Scanning

The Instructional Support Services department will run Scantron tests. For questions regarding all other learning technologies, email coursehelp@viterbo.edu.
